Delete your Medira account

In the app

1. Open Medira and go to Settings.
2. Tap Security & Privacy, then Delete my account.
3. Confirm. Your account is deleted straight away.

Without the app

Email support@medira.pk with the subject “Delete my Medira account” and the mobile number on the account. We will send a code to that number to check it is you, and delete the account within 7 days of confirming.

What is deleted

• Your name, CNIC, contact details, address, photo, insurance details and uploaded documents.
• Your date of birth is reduced to the year.
• Upcoming appointments are cancelled.
• Family records you manage alone are anonymised in the same way.

What is kept

• A family member's record that someone else also looks after stays with them.
• Doctors keep their notes of past visits, as medical record-keeping requires, but these no longer show who you are.
• Copies in secure backups, for a limited time before they are overwritten.
